Sports Hall

A valuable resource within the Cumann Iosaef complex is the sports hall.
The multifunctional hall incorporates a soccer pitch, and two basketball courts. The basketball courts can be used simultaneously. A balcony overlooks the playing surface and provides a viewing area for spectators and team supporters that do not interfere with floor activities. The sports hall is available in hourly increments and is in use between the hours of 9.00am and 11.00pm. Male and female changing rooms, toilets and shower facilities are located outside the hall entrance.
The hall is used by a number of the organizations in Tralee that cater for youth, disadvantaged and marginalized members of our communities.
These include:
  • Connect 7 Youth Group
  • National Learning Network
  • St. Ita’s and St. Joseph’s School – special education needs
  • Holy Family Primary School
  • Educate Together Tralee – multi-denominational education
  • Listellick Primary School
  • Imperial Basketball Club – girls
  • St. Brendan’s Basketball Club - boys
Along with the main sports hall Cumann Iosaef also provides meeting rooms which can be used by smaller groups to provide classes in fitness and education. These rooms are also used by local residents as a base to hold their monthly meetings.
